May Day Decree 2026, fair wages, employment incentives and measures against digital gangmastering

Legislative Decree no. 62 of 30 April 2026, approved by the Council of Ministers on the eve of Labour Day and published in Official Gazette no. 99 on the same day, intervenes on three fronts of labour law: protection of wages through the statutory codification of the «fair wage» linked to collective bargaining agreements signed by the comparatively most representative trade unions; incentives for stable employment.
